Affiliate Disclosure
The short version
As of August 2026, we do not use affiliate links in our articles. If you ask Diane to connect you with an agent outside her area, she may receive a standard referral fee from that agent — a normal arrangement between licensed real estate professionals that never costs you anything extra. If we ever add affiliate links to the site, we will mark them clearly. Last updated August 20, 2026.
Effective date: June 26, 2026
In the interest of transparency and in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, Buffalo Coast Media, the operator of My Real Estate Tips, discloses the following about how we may be compensated.
Real estate referral fees
When you ask us to connect you with a real estate agent or professional, we may refer you to a third-party licensed agent and receive a referral fee if a transaction is completed. This is a standard, lawful arrangement between licensed real estate professionals and comes at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate links
Some links on the Site may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you click through and take an action (such as signing up for a service). This also comes at no extra cost to you.
Our commitment
Compensation never dictates our editorial content. We share information and recommendations we genuinely believe are helpful to our readers, regardless of whether we are compensated.
