Hi! My name is Diane. I’ve been a licensed real estate agent and a hobbyist interior designer for over 40 years, and I love helping people not only find their dream home, but make it feel like a home after they move in.
I’m a married mother of four, and am originally from upstate New York. I left Buffalo because of the weather, and I came to Florida because of the weather, so both reasons have a lot in common! What really took me everywhere was a job. I ended up in West Palm Beach first and then in Miami, and I’ve been on this coast ever since.
These days I’m with Beachfront Realty, my home base is Miami Beach, and I’m excited to connect with you on any questions you might have!

How I got here
When I came to Florida in the 70s, there was a big migration of retirees, and everyone was coming for the same reason I was. Real estate was booming and properties were selling. Looking back, of course, we all say “shoulda, woulda, coulda” when it comes to buying properties considering the prices then versus now. But that was the biggest reason I came here: the weather, and the opportunity.
It wasn’t as easy to get clients, but once you did, it was much more personal. You built a relationship. Once you got a client, you kept that client, and that client did not go elsewhere. That’s not the way it is now, with everything online, but it’s still the way I work.
What I actually help people with
- Buying in South Florida. Most people have been to Miami Beach, but it’s one thing to come visit and another thing to live here. I walk people through all of it, taxes and flood insurance included.
- Selling your home. Pricing it right, getting it show-ready without losing your mind, and keeping the seller out of the house during showings. (Never be there for a showing. I mean it.)
- Moving anywhere else in the country. If I don’t personally cover where you’re headed, I make a warm introduction to an agent I trust. It’s free, and it’s the same call I’d make for a friend.
- Making the house feel like yours. The hobby that got out of hand. Color, light, furniture that fits the room, and the small fixes that change how a home feels when you walk in.
Ever since I was young I’ve loved envisioning what a room—and a home—could be.
Why I still do this
The commission. JUST KIDDING. The truth is, you’ve got to like people. You’ve got to really get involved in what they want, what they need, and what they can afford. It’s kind of like a puzzle, and you’ve got to put the pieces together.
There are great people you’re going to want to stay friends with, and then there are the tough ones where you can’t wait until the day of closing. But that doesn’t happen very often.

Everything on this site comes from the questions I get asked in real life. I routinely stay up to date on the most recent research and news from the National Association of Realtors, Freddie Mac, the Census Bureau, and the Florida Department of Revenue, and I link to them so you can see for yourself. When I quote another expert, I say so. And when something is just my opinion after forty years, I say that too.
